Cat Meffan

A little thank you…

Last weekend Rob and I ran the St David’s Day half marathon along the coastal paths of… yeah, you guessed it, St David’s! When I first agreed to this challenge I wasn’t even sure that I’d do it for charity, but as I haven’t raised money for charity since primary school I thought it would be rude not to, especially when there is a charity doing amazing work that’s so close to my heart.

Those who know me or have read my blog post about running, know that I have bad knee problems… knee problems that sadly got a lot worse as my training continued. Pain aside though, I made it around the extremely muddy and wet 13.1 mile course, with a lot of help from my incredible boyfriend Rob who mentally and physically supported me most of the way.

We did it, we really did it!

We did it, we really did it!

I just want to say a huge thank you to all of those who supported us – we’ve raised over £600 for B-eat and we’re so proud of what we’ve achieved. The icing on the cake for me was the amazing messages I got after my blog post about why we’re running for B-eat. If what I’ve been through and the changes I’ve made to my life can inspire just one person to change one tiny aspect of their life, then it’s all been worth it.

Run rabbit, run!

Run rabbit, run!

Our fundraising page will be open to donations for another three weeks, so please do check it out!

Thank you all SO MUCH! x
