About Me
Welcome to my website beautiful soul. Thank you for clicking on this page and being willing to get to know me a little better.
When it comes to my career, I am a yoga teacher, a sound healer, a breathwork coach, a free movement facilitator, retreat host and founder of The Soul Sanctuary, an online platform and app for people to deepen their connection to mind, body and soul. These are just a few of the things that light me up and I feel lucky every single day that I get to share these healing modalities with thousands of people all around the world via The Soul Sanctuary.
Taking away the labels of my work, at my core I am a playful, loving and determined human who loves being outside in nature, dipping in the sea, adventuring around the world, cuddling my dog Norman and grounding myself at home surrounded by people I love.
I’ve always loved moving my body, but to begin with that was through gymnastics and dancing. I’m so grateful to have started at such a young age and to have developed a passion for understanding my body’s capabilities.
I snapped my ACL at age 17, leading to a knee reconstruction and then, unfortunately during this time, I was diagnosed with EDS (Ehlers-Danlos syndrome), being told I would never dance again and would possibly be in a wheelchair by the age of 30. That was when I found yoga. The surgery and being told about my future dreams sent me into a downward spiral of bulimia, anorexia, depression and self harming. At age 21, I attended my first yoga class, seeing it as a way to find more body awareness without the impact of gymnastics and dancing. After going to classes on and off for another 7 years, I was finally starting to understand that there was so much more to yoga than I had thought.
I started reading and researching more and, in 2014, I decided to do my first teacher training. It was really only then that I realised the power and expanse of this ancient practice and went on to deepen my studies and my own self practice. Since then, my personal practice and teachings have evolved. I now hold space for sound therapy, conscious connected breathwork, sharing circles and movement.
I would love to end this by sharing two of my favourite quotes with you…
“Let come what come, let go what go, see what remains.”
“If you focus on what you lack, you’ll lose what you have. If you focus on what you have, you’ll gain what you lack.”
I hope to connect with you somewhere on this beautiful journey of life.
Love, Cat xx
