Active in Style: SBC, brunch club & Lorna Jane

The title of this post pretty much gives it all away, but this morning I got up at 6:30am (much to the annoyance of everyone at home!) to get my self ready and over to Paradise by way of Kensal Green. This was in aid of the SBC workshop with Russell Bateman and brunch club designed by Danielle Copperman – creator of Qnola: the yummy pots of goodness I recently wrote a poem about! photo-83 The was perfect timing, as my new Lorna Jane leggings and sports bra pieces from Active in Style arrived on Thursday and I was dying to test them out. I’ve never worn Lorna Jane active wear before, but after seeing so many people posting photos of the it on Instagram, I just had to try it out. Pretty handy that Active in Style is a UK stockist for them, along with stocking my other favourite Australian brand, Vie Active. Both the leggings and sports bra fitted perfectly, so I was raring to get into Russ’ workshop and get sweaty. As always the SBC class was tough, but amazing. If you haven’t already tried it, please do. I know it’s wait-list only at the moment, but it’s worth the wait I promise…. that’s if you like to sweat and then ache the following day! photo-82 After the class we took our sweaty-selves downstairs for a pre-brunch smoothie (the SBC special) and sat around chatting for a bit. Then it was time for what we’d all been waiting for, the heavenly-looking food posts we’d all been liking on Instagram for months were finally going to be real and there for us to eat. Flourless buckwheat and coconut pancakes with chia berry smash, homemade nut butter, raw cacao and coconut pouring cream

I picked the pancakes for my main course (as did everyone on our table) and it definitely did not disappoint – rich in flavour with so many textures. My favourite treat of the whole brunch really had to be the raw cacao, tamari and avocado balls. As cheesy as it sounds, it honestly blows my mind how something that healthy can taste so good. Danielle mentioned that there is a recipe for a version of these on her blog, so I’ll definitely be checking that out. www.modelmangetout.com After brunch I popped outside to take a few more snaps in my new Lorna Jane kit. Such a shame that London looks so dreary and dull, but at least my sports bra added a bit of colour! Photos courtesy of my lovely cousin, blogger and health & fitness lover, Rosie. Apologies for my mega sweaty hair in this pic!

What a great Saturday it’s been (so far). I love jumping out of bed to do a workout and eat some good food, it really sets me up for the day ahead. For me that day has included washing, tidying (FUN!) and now of course blogging. Processed with VSCOcam with f2 preset

Yep, I’m still in my kit! Ha. Better get my stinky-self in the shower! Massive thanks to Russ, Danielle and Paradise for a brilliant morning with the proceeds going to charity. Keep your eyes peeled for the next one they do.

Happy weekend all! x
